GoDaddy Website Builder vs ChairsideWeb
GoDaddy Website Builder vs ChairsideWeb: online in an afternoon, or built to run every office
Which is right for a dental group?
GoDaddy offers website building alongside its domains and hosting, including an AI-driven builder, Airo, that GoDaddy describes as turning a conversation into a live site with hosting and SSL included. For a new single practice that just needs something online quickly, that is a practical option. A dental group needs more than a quick site: a page per office, provider and service, requests routed to the right desk, and someone keeping it all accurate every week. That ongoing depth is what ChairsideWeb provides.
The real question
Getting online is quick. Staying accurate across offices is the job.
Many practices already have their domain at GoDaddy, so its builder is the obvious first step. The gap appears when a second office opens or providers change: a quick site was never structured for it, and someone has to rebuild or bolt on. ChairsideWeb starts from a structure that expects more offices, and adding one later is a revision rather than a rebuild.

GoDaddy Website Builder and ChairsideWeb, line by line
Twelve things a dental group should weigh. Their column describes the option in general terms from public information; ours states our published terms.
| What to weigh | GoDaddy Website Builder | ChairsideWeb |
|---|---|---|
| Speed and Core Web Vitals | Hosted by GoDaddy. Speed depends on what is generated and added. | 90+ PageSpeed guaranteed on mobile and desktop. Static pages served from Cloudflare's edge with almost no JavaScript. |
| SEO control, office by office | Basic SEO tools. Per-office structure is up to you. | A page per office, provider and service, each with its own title, headings and internal links, set by us. |
| Schema and JSON-LD | Not something we could verify per office; custom setup may be limited. | Organization, a dental business entry per office, Service, FAQPage and BreadcrumbList, generated from the same data as the page. |
| AEO and GEO readiness | Depends on content you write and edit. | Answer-first copy, visible FAQs, consistent office facts and an llms.txt file on every site. |
| Hosting and security | GoDaddy hosting and SSL, per GoDaddy. | Cloudflare hosting with SSL, CDN, DDoS protection, backups and monitoring inside the fee. |
| Maintenance burden on your team | You edit and update the site yourself. | None. Weekly detail updates and 5 revisions a month are applied by us. Nobody logs in. |
| Who does the work | You, with AI assistance, or GoDaddy's own services. | Our team designs, writes, builds, hosts and runs it. You approve. |
| Content and blog | Generated content to start; ongoing writing is yours. | 2 researched articles a week (3 on Group), 2,500 to 3,200 words each, with cited sources. |
| Design quality | AI-generated layouts and templates. | A custom design system on your brand, designed phone-first and hand-coded. |
| Accessibility and compliance pages | You add and maintain policy pages and consent wording. | Privacy policy, terms, cookie consent that gates scripts, an accessibility statement and forms that do not collect health information. |
| Cost model | GoDaddy plans and credits; see GoDaddy for current pricing. | One fee per group from $137 a month, plus a $797 build fee invoiced after launch. AI usage at cost on Operatory Suite. |
| Lock-in and ownership | Hosted with GoDaddy; GoDaddy says Airo AI Builder projects can export source code. | Month to month. Your domain and your content are yours, with a content export within 14 days of cancelling. The design and code stay ours. |

What a group like yours says
We expected a prettier website; what we actually use every day is the new form. It collects preferred office, visit reason and callback number up front, so the back-and-forth we used to do by reply has largely gone. Most mornings I can prepare for the callback from the first message alone.

Questions
GoDaddy Website Builder vs ChairsideWeb: questions
Is GoDaddy Website Builder fine for a dentist?
For a basic single-office site you maintain yourself, it can be. For a group with several offices and providers, a structured, managed site serves patients and search better.
Can we keep our domain at GoDaddy?
Yes. We point it at the new site and your email stays where it is.
Is an AI builder the same as what ChairsideWeb does?
No. An AI builder helps you create pages yourself. We design, write, check, host and run the whole site for you, and people review every page.
Which is cheaper?
A builder usually costs less because you do the work. ChairsideWeb includes the work in one fee per group.
How hard is the move?
We carry across your content and photos, rebuild the site in the new structure and redirect old addresses. You approve before launch.
Will our Google Business Profile be affected?
Each office's profile should point to its own office page, which we set up. On Group, we manage each profile for you.
Do we need to learn a new tool?
No. Changes are emailed or raised in the client portal. Nobody at the practice logs in to the website.
Is ChairsideWeb affiliated with GoDaddy?
No. GoDaddy is a trademark of its owner and ChairsideWeb is not affiliated with it.
